Ashby Trussell Trust Foodbank

Donations for Ashby Trussell Trust Foodbank are being accepted outside Blackfordby Old School Room between 3pm and 7pm on Wednesday 6 January and between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 9 January. A volunteer will be sitting in a clearly designated car and will be accepting any donations in an appropriately socially distanced manner.


WHAT CAN YOU DONATE:


Dried, tinned or packaged foods (any non-perishable foodstuffs that do not required refrigeration before opening) that are within ‘best before’ or ‘use by’ dates;


Soap, domestic cleaning, washing up and laundry products, including cleaning cloths and disinfectant; Personal care products; eg, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving foam and toilet rolls, etc;


Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, UHT milk, fruit juice and packets of biscuits that are within ‘best before’ or ‘use by’ dates; Nappies, baby wipes and baby food;


Face masks and hand sanitiser;


Pet food; and Cash (please place in an envelope).


HOW AND WHERE YOU CAN DONATE:


Via volunteer vehicle displaying ‘Foodbank Donations’ signage marked outside Blackfordby Old School Room on a Wednesday and Saturday (please check Blackfordby Community Facebook Page for times).


·              If you miss the volunteer vehicle, please bag up your donation and leave it on the porch of the Vicarage (11 Vicarage Close, DE11 8AZ).  


·               If you need, or would like your donation collecting, please message Alan Hardwick via Blackfordby Community Facebook Page or Messenger. 


·               If you would prefer to make a cash donation, please donate directly online via https://ashby.foodbank.org.uk/ website.
