To address several reported community concerns regarding inconsiderate parking in various locations within the village of Thurnby.
To implement No Waiting At Any Time and No Waiting & No Loading At Any Time restrictions in various locations within the village of Thurnby, on parts of the following roads: Grange Lane, Holmleigh Gardens, Main Street, Court Road, St Luke’s Close, Bradgate Close, A47 Uppingham Road, Station Road, Forest Rise and Charnwood Drive.

Formal consultation was carried out for a period of 27 days between Thursday 19 September to Wednesday 16 October 2024. All statutory consultees were consulted, as were the frontages within the vicinity of the restrictions.
A total of eight responses were received. Two were objections. One was in support. The other five were supportive to a degree but requested alterations or additions to the proposals. Local Member Mr S Galton CC was in support of the proposals.
