Purpose:

No Waiting At Any Time restrictions for the full length of the controlled zone for the crossing would assist safety for pedestrians. This would mean that any footway parking that would contravene the No Waiting At Any Time restrictions can be enforced.

Decision:

To change a length of single yellow line restriction to No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on North Street, Barrow upon Soar.

Other reasons / organisations consulted

Consultation on the scheme took place from 5 March to the 26 March 2025. The adjacent frontages and essential consultees were directly consulted. The proposals were also advertised in the Loughborough Echo, were put on the County Council's website, and notices were posted on site.
One objection was received and a petition with 383 signatures was also received via the Parish Council and the local Member, Mrs H. Fryer CC, and was also treated as an objection by the Council. Mrs H. Fryer CC supported the scheme.
