The proposed restrictions were necessary to mitigate the impact of potentially obstructive on-street parking at and on the junction of Fairfield and Orchard Street, Ibstock to ensure that vehicles do not obstruct or block the safe passage of vehicles from access.
It was also necessary to propose further waiting restrictions on the cul-de-sac junction on Fairfield due to obstructive double parking on the narrow carriageway, hindering access to refuse lorries and resulting in multiple missed bin collections. The proposed restrictions sought to mitigate the impact of potentially obstructive on-street parking and thereby ensure that vehicles do not obstruct or block the safe passage of refuse vehicles and emergency service vehicles from access.
The proposed restrictions sought to benefit the safety for all road users in this location. This scheme was proposed on the grounds of road safety.
To implement No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions on Fairfield, at its junction with Orchard Street, Ibstock.
