Decision details

Implementation of the Market Bosworth Highways Improvement Scheme

Decision Maker: Director of Environment and Transport

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

The proposals were advertised as part of Market Bosworth Parish Council’s redevelopment project of Market Place. The changes included the provision of a 20mph speed limit, changes to on-street parking provisions and a one way system to enhance safety within the area. These would benefit the overall safety aspects of all highway users at this location as well as increasing the amount of parking opportunities in-day that facilitates more short-stay opportunities with visitors to the area. The speed limit would further assist in creating a safe environment with the further changes that were proposed.

Decision:

To implement the Market Bosworth Highways Improvement Scheme.
