It has been determined that the County Council has no use for the asset in the delivery of County Council services. This disposal approach is expected to maximise the capital receipt received, which will support the County Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy.
The bid received by the preferred bidder was considered to represent best value from the range of bids received.
To complete the sale of the former community centre at Comet Way, Coalville, following selection of a preferred bidder following an informal tender process. The property comprises a single storey building of 24,477 sq ft on a site of 2.78 acres, and has been declared surplus to the Council’s requirements,
The property was advertised for sale on the open market by informal tender and a range of offers was received. The highest bid was accepted, which is considered to be reflective of the property’s market value.
