Purpose:

These restrictions are aimed at improving visibility at the Albert Promenade junctions with Lime Avenue, Finsbury Avenue and Elms Grove, Loughborough and King Edward Road at its junction with Lime Avenue, Loughborough, to ensure the safer egress from them.

The scheme was advertised and formally consulted upon from Wednesday 11 February to Wednesday 4 March 2026, a period of three weeks. Local Member Mr J. Miah CC, the essential consultees and the local residents received notifications. Notices were posted on site and the proposals were posted on the Council’s consultation web page.
Of the correspondence that the Council received in response to the consultation, four people objected to the scheme, whilst three respondents did not object to the scheme but gave comments, and one person supported the scheme. The Local Member Mr J. Miah CC supported the proposed scheme.
