To improve pupil safety by implementing Mandatory School Keep Clear Markings, highlighting areas that must remain clear Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm on Parkstone Road, Syston; Barrow Road, Burton on the Wolds; and Elmfield Avenue, Birstall.
After concerns from Syston Town Council, a Mandatory Disabled Parking Bay with a 3 hour limit (no return within 1 hour) on Melton Road to improve access for disabled users.
To improve amenity, the Maximum Stay in the Limited Waiting Bays on Cross Green, Rothley extended from 1 hour to 2 hours, no return within 1 hour, following concerns from local businesses and Rothley Parish Council.
An irregularity in the original Traffic Regulation Order for Bath Street, Syston requires a reduction in length of the No Waiting At Any Time restriction.
To reduce obstructive parking and improve visibility, new No Waiting At Any Time restrictions at: Sarson Street, at its junction with Loughborough Road, Quorn; Ashfield Drive, at its junction with Groby Road, Anstey; Park Road, at its junction with School House Close, Anstey; Peppers Close, at its junction with Loughborough Road, Mountsorrel; Martin Drive, at its entry/exit to its roundabout junction with Glebe Way, Syston.
Following concerns from a Member of Parliament, to improve safety of school children by implementing School Keep Clear restrictions on Elmfield Avenue, Birstall. These to apply Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Also to implement No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on the curvature of bend on where Elmfield Avenue meets Fielding Road, to reduce obstructive parking and ensure safe egress for all road users.
To implement various parking restrictions in the Borough of Charnwood as follows:
To install Mandatory School Keep Clear Monday to Friday 8am–4pm Markings on Parkstone Road, Syston; Barrow Road, Burton on the Wolds; and Elmfield Avenue, Birstall.
To install a Mandatory Disabled Parking Bay with a 3 hour limit (no return within 1 hour) on Melton Road, Syston.
To increase the Maximum Stay in the Limited Waiting Bays on Cross Green, Rothley from 1 hour to 2 hours, no return within 1 hour.
To reduce the length of No Waiting At Any Time restriction for Bath Street, Syston.

Noting the objections to the proposed No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions on Elmfield Avenue and Fielding Road, officers contacted local Member Mr D. Grimley CC for his views on the proposed restrictions. Upon reviewing the objections, Mr D. Grimley CC recommended that the restrictions would be shortened to encompass the curvature of the bend where Fielding Road meets Elmfield Avenue. The proposed School Keep Clear Monday to Friday 8am-4pm markings are to be implemented as advertised.
Other reasons / organisations consulted
The scheme was advertised and then formally consulted upon from the Wednesday 17 December 2025 until Monday 10 January 2026 for a period of three weeks, plus an additional four days to account for bank holidays over the Christmas period. The proposals were advertised in the local press and on the the County Council website.
43 objections and five statements of support were received.
Local Members Mrs D. Taylor CC, Mr D. Grimley CC, Mrs L. Danks CC, Mrs N. Bottomley CC, Mr S. Bradshaw CC and Mr P. Rudkin CC did not object to the proposals.
