Decision details

That the new statutory provisions relating to the operation of Standards Committees and the appointment of independent members be noted;

 

That the Chief Executive be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for the appointment of independent members on the basis set out in the report, subject to applicants being advised that the County Council does not consider it appropriate for appointments to be made from persons actively engaged in local party politics;
