The Board considered a report of the Director of Environment and Transport, a copy of which, marked ‘Agenda Item 7’, is filed with these minutes. The Board was also in receipt of a supplementary report which responded to representations submitted on behalf of the landowners.

In accordance with the procedures for making representations to the Board, Nikki Beers (Faxtons) spoke on behalf of the landowners in objection to the application, and Cllr Margaret Smidowicz (Charnwood Borough Council) and Andy Travis (local resident) spoke in favour of the application.

In response to a question from a member, the Director of Environment and Transport confirmed that were the Board to permit the application, the next stage of the process would be for a public consultation to take place and were any objections to be made during that process the matter would be referred to the Planning Inspectorate and a Public Inquiry could take place.

RESOLVED:

That an Order be made under the provisions of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to add Public Footpath K110 at Nanpantan, Loughborough to the Definitive Map as shown on Plan No. M1269.
