Introduction of No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on Gelders Hall Road, Shepshed and the removal of Limited Waiting restrictions on part of Cheapside, Shepshed

Following reported community concerns regarding problem parking on Gelders Hall Road, Shepshed, the Council proposed to introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions to prevent parking as a hazard and obstruction to other road users.
To correct an irregularity in the Traffic Regulation Order on Cheapside, Shepshed.

Consultation process

A formal consultation was carried out for a period of 22 days between Wednesday 30 April and Thursday 22 May 2025.
All statutory consultees were consulted, as were the frontages within the vicinity of the proposed restrictions.
A total of one response was received, and the response was supportive of the proposals but requested that the waiting restrictions extend across their frontage.
The local Member Mrs C. Radford replied in support of the scheme.
