Consultation process

The Council undertook a survey on the 11 December 2024. The survey gave residents a chance to comment on a combination of potential proposals including Limited Waiting Bays, Residents Permit Only parking, No Waiting At Any Time restrictions and the revocation of short lengths of No Waiting At Any Time restrictions. These proposals were located on Loughborough Road, Crown Lane, Windmill Close, The Homestead and Bond Lane, Mountsorrel.
The essential consultees, the then local Member Mr L. Hadji-Nikolaou, Mountsorrel Parish Council and the directly affected residents were included in the formal consultation. The residents were letter dropped and given until the 12 January to reply to the survey. The letter drop included the residents of Bond Lane, Loughborough Road, Crown Lane, The Homestead and Windmill Close. It did not include the residents on Watling Street Notices were also posted on site and consultation documents were uploaded onto the Councils website.
A number of objections to the formal proposals were received and the local Member, Mrs L. Danks CC was in support of the scheme.
