The proposed No Loading At Any time Restrictions were intended to prevent vehicles from stopping to drop off or pick up students along specific sections of these roads and at their junctions within the vicinity of the school.
This scheme was introduced on the grounds of road safety.

Consultation process
Formal consultation was carried out for a period of three weeks between 25th September - 16th October 2025.
All of the statutory consultees were notified, and properties fronting the proposed restriction areas were also consulted.
A total of seven responses were received in support of the proposals, five of which were submitted by The Lady Byron School. Two respondents also expressed support but requested that the No Waiting At Any Time restrictions would be extended to cover the section between Springfield Close and Edna Bowley Court.
The local Member Mr D. Page was in support of the scheme.
