Consultation process
Following initial
engagement with specialist nursery managers and TU representatives, public
consultation took place from 12 January to 22 February 2026. This was primarily
via an online survey (print versions on request) and was advertised through
existing channels and promoted to parents/carers and schools including via the
Leicestershire SEND Hub Parent Carer Forum, the Early Years SEND Newsletter and
the Early Years Provider Newsletter. A report will be submitted to the Children
and Families Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 3 March 2026.
