Consultation process
Consultation on the draft Strategy took place from 7 January to 13 February 2026. This was carried out via a combination of questionnaires, online and in-person meetings with various groups, including farm tenants, the NFU, the Tenant Farmers’ Association, Country Land and Business Association, National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, Midland Counties Agricultural Valuers’ Association, ACES Rural, Environment Agency, Elected Members, and other Council services. The Scrutiny Commission considered a report at its meeting on 11 March 2026.
