Issue details

Construction of four raised tables at Stoughton Road, Lyndhurst Road, Victoria Court and Oadby Court, at their junctions with the A6 Leicester Road/Harborough Road, Oadby.

The purpose of the works was to reduce the speed of vehicles entering and leaving the side roads at their junctions with the A6 Leicester Road/A6 Harborough Road, improving safety for pedestrians. The level surfaces provided by the raised tables improve accessibility for pedestrians, especially vulnerable users using the A6 footway across the side road mouths.
The order was in support of providing a cohesive route along the A6, which was identified as a key corridor in the South of Leicester Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.
