Vision Statement

“The unique natural and cultural heritage features of Charnwood Forest will be managed and promoted through the Charnwood Forest Regional Park. The

Regional Park will be recognised as an essential part of the growing communities in the Derby, Leicester and Nottingham area, now and in the future.”

The Steering Group’s remit is:

•      to rapidly agree a plan of action, based on the content of the agreed Vision Statement;

•      to ensure that this plan can deliver benefits within the three year lifespan of the interim governance structure;

•      to ensure, through the actions of member organisations, that this is implemented
