The purpose of the Scheme is to promote agriculture in the County of Leicestershire by making grants/loans to farmers, loans for the purpose of assisting the operation of Young Farmers Clubs and grants/loans towards the cost of education at an agricultural college of persons proposing to farm land in the County.
