The Charity of Carlton Hayes Hospital, established nearly 200 years ago, provides financial assistance to people with mental health problems who live in Leicestershire or Rutland.
The kind of financial assistance normally given is for
travelling, educational and social activities for individuals and their carers
where the event, activity or occasion is expected to have a therapeutic effect.
The grants are usually for very modest sums, and have included theatre outings,
a Christmas party, a trip to the seaside and a skittles evening.
