The minutes of the meeting held on 17 November 2022 were taken as read, confirmed and signed.

The Chief Executive reported that no questions had been received under Standing Order 34.

The Chief Executive reported that no questions had been received under Standing Order 7(3) and 7(5).

There were no urgent items for consideration.

 

53.

Declarations of interest.

Minutes:

The Chairman invited members who wished to do so to declare any interest in respect of items on the agenda for the meeting.

 

Mr. K. Merrie CC declared an Other Registerable Interest in agenda item 9: Husbands Bosworth Quarry as he was a member of Ellistown and Battleflat Parish Council who had received funding from the Mick George Community Fund. Mr Merrie CC clarified that he would not be leaving the room for agenda item 9.

 

It was also noted with regards to agenda item 11: Delegated Decisions for works to trees, and the tree at 1 Trinity Close, Ashby de la Zouch that Mr. J. G. Coxon CC was a member of Ashby Town Council.

The Board considered a report of the Chief Executive, a copy of which, marked ‘Agenda Item 8’, is filed with these minutes, along with an addendum report which drew members’ attention to an additional relevant planning permission.

 

In accordance with the procedures for making representations to the Board Adam Gibbs (Leicestershire County Council) spoke on behalf of the applicant.

 

The local members Mr. K. Merrie CC and Mr. C. Smith CC stated that they welcomed the application and they were pleased that the small amount of concerns that had been raised by local residents had been addressed in the report. Mr. Merrie CC stated that he would like to take up the offer set out in the report for him to meet with the principal contractor.

 

RESOLVED:

 

That the application be permitted subject to the conditions nos. 1-22 as set out in the appendix to the report.

The Board considered a report of the Chief Executive, a copy of which, marked ‘Agenda Item 9’, is filed with these minutes along with an addendum report which proposed amendments to the conditions recommended by officers.

 

In accordance with the procedures for making representations to the Board Mr. John Gough (Mick George Ltd) spoke on behalf of the applicant and Mr. Stephen Constable-Maxwell spoke as the landowner.                         

 

RESOLVED:

 

That the application be permitted subject to the conditions nos. 1-35 as set out in the appendix to the main report, subject to the amendments to conditions nos. 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 19 as set out in the addendum report.

Chairman's announcements.

Minutes:

The Chairman advised the Board that no enforcement notices were issued between July 2022 and December 2022.

 

It was also noted that the next meeting of the Board would take place on 16 February 2023 at 2.00pm.
