Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Board considered a report of the Director of Environment and Transport, a copy of which, marked ‘Agenda Item 7’, is filed with these minutes.

In accordance with the procedures for making representations to the Board, Louise Duffin (Fisher German LLP) spoke on behalf of the applicant.

It was reported that the local member Mr. J. T. Orson CC was in support of the officer’s recommendation.

A member suggested that should the application to divert the footpath be approved there should be an additional waymarker sign at point C on the plan no. 2647/a and officers agreed to give this consideration. Reassurance was given that there would be clear signposting at both ends of the footpath section that was to be diverted to ensure that the public did not continue to use the old route.

RESOLVED:

That an Order be made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 to divert Public Footpaths E53 and E54 at Edmondthorpe as shown on the Plan No. 2647/a appended to the report.
