Committee/Body details

This reviews and scrutinises decisions made or action proposed in connection with the County Council's functions particularly those which are not specifically within the scope of an overview and scrutiny committee and issues which come within the scope of more than one overview and scrutiny committee.  It also oversees and co-ordinates the work of all overview and Scrutiny Committees.

The Scrutiny Commissioners are responsible for leading the Overview and Scrutiny process, deciding on priority issues for Overview and Scrutiny Committees and areas that would be worthy of reviewing via Scrutiny Review Panel.
