Constitution and Ethics Committee
Purpose of committee
The Constitution and
Ethics Committee is primarily responsible for electoral matters, advising the
County Council on the Members Allowances Scheme and approving the arrangements
for providing appropriate support services for elected members and advising the
County Council on the Constitution. It
is also responsible for the promotion and maintenance of high standards by
elected Members and issues to do with complaints, including monitoring the
Members’ Code of Conduct.
